Caer Viridis - Village

Beyond the walls of the Glade, are the dwellings of the commoners and a bustling market. Although most of the massive trees were warped to form the walls of the glade, there are still two that are free standing. One of these close to the walls is in its natural state the other, located farther out has been built up to provide food, drink, and lodging to the more common visitors to Caer Viridis.

A massive steel ring has been fitted in two parts around the trunk, resting on this is a circular platform providing the foundation for The Sign of the Horned Owl. The bar and grill are located around the trunk, while the rooms for rent are in giant birdhouses located in the massive branches above. Steam powered lifts carry visitors up from the loading platform below.

Surrounding The Sign of the Horned Owl is the marketplace. Chimerical Items both common and sometimes fantastic can be found in the various canvasse covered stalls and shops that make up Viridis Market. Vendors both fae and chimera can be heard hawking their wares. Everything in the market is negotiable.

The Witches Road, made of black granite travels through town and ends at the walls of the Glade. The breeze from the lake keeps the worst of the heat from the worries of those who call this place home.

Nowell pokes around some of the night market stalls, bartering himself a hand pie and a brown glass bottle. He's still giving wide berth to the Horned Owl, for some reason. He secures a seat close to where the breezes are blowing best; sitting down with his back to a tree.

Eden jumps or flies really but is touching each building with her foot before she flutters into the sky, she turns around and falls gracefully to the ground.

Eden says "Hello Lord Nowell." she murmers as she lands"

Nowell glances up at the sound of wings, and footfalls upon taut canvas. He takes his evening snack and tucks it away in his lap. His tattoos flare up briefly, as if irritated, but his expression remains cool and smooth. "I hold no Title."

Eden shrugs 'You know... my brother was a Sidhe?" she asks as she plops herself near him eyeing his tattoos with curriosity. His guarding his snack amuses her and she watches it carefully

Nowell turns his palms upwards helplessly. "Euh,...and?" He asks, anticipating further elaboration. He then mutters to himself, en francais, <<Voir? Ici, tout le monde est lie les uns aux autres.>> He delicately breaks a corner off of the hand pie, taking care to keep his hands within his own space.

Eden tilts her head not understanding what he says she frowns "your not very talkative." she watches him keep his hands in his own space, not offering her any of his pie. She chuckles "did you mind me sharing your drink that much?"

Nowell replies, unblinking, "I am brand new here and the entire place is crawling with my worst enemies. Forgive me if I am a little trepidatious." He does not offer her his meal. He's a socialist, not a pushover. "You only returned it because you were caught. That is not sharing. That is capitalism...theft."

Eden shakes her head "your dream is very odd." she says "why must it be one or the other. How do you actually know I would not had returned it?" she asks "Perhaps I am a theif of hearts, or a thief of sweets, or a thief of sparkles.... you do not know do you?"

Nowell makes no response to the ascertation about his Dream. Instead, he says, "I don't. But you also expressed no need. I understand, though...it is in your essence to pilfer, much as it is in mine to order people around just because I fuckin' feel like it."

Eden mmms "well if you wanna order people round you need a title round here." she grins to him softly .. "why are you outhere instead of there?" she points to the owl. "My brother did not really like it in there either."

Nowell replies, "I have thus far allowed exactly ONE Kithain to put their mouth upon me, and that was because her Aunt supervised." He snaps a bit of pastry off. "I have little desire to be in the domain of a Sidhe-loathing Redcap." He assumes Eden understands the implications there.

Eden mmms a little "mm Aunt?" she asks quietly with a chuckle "the only related ones I am aware of are the caps." she says quietly "least by blood." she tilts her head a little. "so what did bring you here?" she asks

Nowell pops his pastry into his mouth and chews. "A library fellowship at the university and apparently some fucking impeccable timing by my D'an."

Nowell is perfectly understandable. His words are as clear as if he wasn't eating. Ah, Sidhe.

Eden mms a little "oh!" she says excitedly "you are a person of Lores? Of Study?" she mmms a little and she tilts on her hands slightly watching him impishly

Nowell confirms, "Yes." He then sits in silence for a moment, enjoying a little more of his snack. "So why are you unliked here?" He asks the Piskey, pulling no punches.

Eden mms "I had a vision, and yelled at my brothers lover...who is well liked." she says with a roll of her shoulder "Least thats what I know." she pauses "see." she pauses "that is what Intrests me as well, I want to help Baroness Katiya build a library." she says quietly to him.

Nowell makes a little widdershins winding motion with his finger. "Could you vague that up a bit for me please?" He asks, clearly in reference to her less-than informative explanation. "I am given to understand that Baroness Katiya is relatively new to her position?"

Eden rolls her eyes a little "its..." she frowns "I saw in a vision, that Eithne was fucking my brother with a Turnip. He just died, I watched him die.... I went out to gather his bodyparts.... and she sauntered in to foundle his corpse, I was mad, I called her a Turnip fucker...and .. a few days later ....she took all of my brothers items away from me and .. casted me aside." she says before she shakes her head "Baron Mccrae is new... but should it matter if she is new or not? She needs a library, I have some lores I can transcribe to add ... or gather." she grins a little "I looooooove knowledge."

Nowell looks inward as he makes another little tick with his finger. "<<Again with the interrelations...my House was more heterogenuous!>>" En francais. En anglais, he says, "You called a Sidhe a turnip fucker. You expected maybe ironic laughter?" He takes his time eating more pastry, giving the Piskey an openly speculative once-over. "You're lucky the Dame is more prone to action than Protocol. The Dictum she could have laid upon you would have been terrible." He does not involve himself in the battle for mementoes.

Eden perces her lips a little cutely at him "it was not my fault I had that vision - or was upset at seeing him die you know." she shrugs a little and she shakes her head "but you asked."

Nowell counters, "Yes, but that dream was not an occult truth to divine, or an omen to dire not to share, even if inopportune." He gives an elegant shrug of his shoulder. "You make the choice to utter the words, you make the choice to pay the consequences of the action. Especially when some of us struggle with that curse."

Eden tilts her head "it was a vision from my remembrance, so how would I know it was not truth?"

Nowell turns his palm upwards. "Take it to a Seer for divination first, maybe? We are creatures of symbolism...go see if maybe it was not a literal fucking root vegetable?"

Nowell emits the tiniest sigh. "At least I know you for sure have one of those around."

Eden mmms "a seer?" she asks "yes, Lillith." she shakes her head a bit and she streaches, "well, I should go find Samir... I want to make another hangout spot not run by sharks." she grins

Nowell tilts his head to one side as means of acknowledging Eden's departure. "I think she will be back from California soon. Bonsoir!"

Eden starts out on the Witches Road.
Eden has left.
