Computer science extends over(span) multiple theoretical disciplines like algorithms, information theory etc. One of the prerequisites in pursuing a computer science is math, even though you don’t need to know to solve an integral, logic is indispensable for this career.
Even if you don’t want to devote your life to research(which implies a career of computer scientist) you can become a programmer. There are some advantages in following a programmer career, possibility to be a remote worker, have a lot of money to splurge. But there are some things that you should know beforehand: Don’t forget to reclaim your free time: switch off the work laptop after finishing your working hours is the first step of switching off from work.
Be prepared to become overwhelmed by the burden of workload, and also by the information that you need to assimilate. Despite this deluge of information, the key to success is simplicity.

Regardless of age, if all of these sounded interesting to you, I advice you to try and see if it really suits you well. Be ambitious, make a pledge to yourself that you won’t give up when it will become hard and you will have big chances to succeed.
