Chapter 11: No signal

A black ambulance was stalking Ramona.

It had been Gideon and an imaginary Envy.

However...

<<Stop right there!!>>

A mysterious voice came from behind the false ambulance, that had just been closed

<<Who are you, weirdo?>> questioned Gideon

<<Name's Mobile. Let her go. Or else.>>

<<You don't know who you are talking to! I'm Gideon Graves!>>

The fight started and Gideon parried every attack from Mobile with his sword.

However as he went on, it became harder ans harder.

Mobile jumped up, and so did Gideon

But before Gideon could react...

A few rapid hits touched him.

Nothing serious or painful, until he started having cramps all over.

The finishing touched had been a kick in his balls from an high altitude, that not only made Gideon form tears in his eyes, but violently sent him flying to the ground before he could even react and control the subspace around him.

Mobile knew he could control the astral plane, but was too focused on ending the fight as soon as he could.

Ramona realised she was in a dream, so she mads Envy disappear, untied herself and opened the door of the ambulance to see what had happened.

Lying in excruciating pain and near dead was Gideon. His biggest mistake was not bringing the power of love with him.

As much as he tried to control the subspace to aummon something to relieve his pain, he failed.

He barely stood on his feet, determined


Mobile was before him.

<<Leave the girl alone before I finish you right here.>>

<<I shall have my revenge...>> Gideon replied, pain hitting him every word, and disappeared.

<<I'm sorry for being here Ramona... I had a feeling last time, and just wanted ro make sure... you want nobody in your mind I am mortified...>>

<<It's ok Mobile. You can visit anytime. But maybe you shouldn't, since it wears you out.>>

<<See ya during the day>> 

Mobile smiled and disappeared.

Ramona woke up suddenly, sweat covering her and disbelief running into her mind.

Kim noticed Ramona moving suddenly to wake up and looked at her with tired eyes

<<Forgive me Kim...>>

<<It's ok... Your face says I have relevant stuff to tell...>>

Ramona sighed.

<<Indeed...>>

It was 6 AM.

Gideon teleported back to reality, after he accessed the subspace via dreaming.

He was in extreme pain and worried about his health 

He decided not to call an ambulance

Gideon walked reluctantly and patiently to the locked room, to use an elevator that linked to many other rooms in the lair, having care to lock it.

He slowly moved to reache the power of love sword.

Upon touching it, he felt immensely better.

Finally taking a breathe of relief, he sat in place

<<Mobile... who are you... and why do you know about subspace and pressure points so well? Scott and I are gonna have an hard time if I don't get an idea fast>>

Meanwhile, Scott was resting like a precious angel.

Gideon had come upstairs once more, from that mysterious room where he hid all his life secrets.

Just like that, the swordsman went to prepare his breakfast.

Back in Toronto, Mobile was very tired.

Both he and Wallace had slept until 10 AM, and as for Envy Addams, she and Julie just had fun watching anime.

Kim and Ramona had breakfast, and decided to call upon Stacey.

Why her? She was the most gossipy girl they ever knew.

All of them were reunited at Julie's pub, along with Julie and Mobile, to discuss such a delicate matter.

Scott spent the morning hearing about his master's bad experience.

<<I nearly got coined. And the pressure points and that kick... oh I thought I would never make it to the power of love sword!>>

<<I'm sorry, that must have been quite the hell. So Mobile's gonna be quite the opponent?>>

<<We need to do everything in our power to outclass him. Or Ramona will flee and we will both explode in coins>>

<<What nightmare did you inflict on her?>>

<<A nightmare about the black ambulance urban legend. Ever heard of it?>>

<<No? Tell me more>> replied Scott.

<<Urban legends are one of my greatest interests. The black ambulance is a van that chases lonely people on the streets. It is a false ambulance that kidnaps people to cut their organs away and sell them on the black market. Whenever Ramona would annoy me, I would mention this legend. It always scared her.>>

Gideon ended up laughing.
Scott faked a laugh too, horrified at such a legend

Scott hurried to his room with the excuse of reading the book, and locked it in fear.

He then tried to send and sms to Wallace...

No signal...

"It's in that room. I'm positive he hid it there...Sorry friends, I can no longer write you..."
