To Whom It May Concern,

I humbly request thy patience and understanding, for I am presently away from my duties, having embarked upon a period of rest and respite. During this time, I shall not be available to tend to correspondence or matters of business, having sought a well-earned retreat from the demands of my daily labors.

I shall not return to my station until the seventeenth of January, 2058, at which time I shall, with renewed energy, address any matters that may have awaited my attention. In my absence, I am unable to respond to messages, and any attempts to reach me by letter, courier, or other means will, alas, go unanswered.

Should your matter be of pressing importance, I recommend thee to seek another suitable individual who may provide assistance in my stead. I trust that upon my return, I shall find all affairs in good order and will attend to them with the due care they deserve.
