Scene: (Anika is preparing dinner in the kitchen and everyone is sitting in the dining room) Azmine: (Shouting at Anika) Where’s my Coffee? Can't you do a simple task properly in time? I'm late for my office! Anika: (hurriedly rushing with a cup) It’s right here, Azmain. It was almost done, just... Afsana : (scoffing) Excuse, everytime! No work in time but a bundle of explanation! It's your duty to serve your husband, understood? Nabila : (laughs) Exactly! What's your engagement all day, bhabi? Household work is easy ! Anika: (forcing a smile) I try to manage everyone's need ... Nabila : But somehow, everything is never perfect ! Right ? Can't you follow my mom? Samina : (Bold and supportive to wife) Really? And who took care of your mom when she is sick? Nabila : (rolling her eyes) Oh, look ! What a new drama ! Anika : (hesitant) But isn’t it my duty? Isn’t patience and sacrifice what makes a good wife? Samina: (softens) Being virtuous doesn’t mean being exploited, Priya. You’re kind, hardworking, and responsible—but autonomy matters too. Shouldn’t virtue come from choice, not obligation? Azmine : (defensive) So now you want her to argue with me? That’s not how a family works! Samina: A family works when respect is mutual. If Anika's efforts aren’t valued, it's unfair. Anika: (pauses, looking around) I never thought of it that way…
